Buying local and supporting local producers

  • Every Monday morning, the weekly Rivesaltes market takes place on the Allées Joffre, opposite the Tourist Office.

It's an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to stock up on seasonal produce, while supporting small-scale producers from Rivesaltes and surrounding villages. Fruits, vegetables, eggs, roast meats, butchers, ready-made meals, drinks and confectionery... A wide choice of foods is on offer! You'll even have the option of eating certain products on site, or taking them away, at your convenience. You'll be able to treat yourself at the stalls, in your vacation home, or in your suitcase. To your baskets!

Les Allées Joffre

A place to stroll

As you stroll between the market stalls, you'll come across the Allées du Maréchal Joffre, one of the town's main attractions! This long, wide square, now lined with young plane trees, forms a central public promenade, an urban axis that gives structure to the surrounding neighborhood. There are benches for relaxing in the fresh air, as well as a small playground where children and parents can meet up and enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine. In the middle of the Allées are small fountains, much appreciated when the summer heat invades the city.

Want to park near the market? Parking spaces are available all around the Allées (2 hours free of charge). The "Parking de l'Hôtel de Ville" (223 spaces), just behind the town hall, is also at your disposal, free of charge all day long. Both parking lots have spaces for people with reduced mobility.
