In 1992, a small group of volunteers from the Office d'animation et du Tourisme de Rivesaltes revived the village's legendary summer carnival. After several decades of dormancy (the first trace of the carnival dates back to 1892), the Babau rose from the ashes. All the villagers, shopkeepers, craftsmen, associations and the municipality contribute actively to the festivities.
